FIRES!! On Tuesday morning last, about 5 o'clock, a fire was discovered in an out house belonging to Mr. Huston, which was extinguished without doing much damage. On Wednesday morning about the same hour, the spinning and store-house of Mr. Hunt was totally consumed; the loom-house and other buildings were fortunately-preserved. And on Saturday night the soap and candle manufactury, together with the bake house of Mr. Tibbatts were burnt to the ground. The dwelling house, with the neighboring houses, were, by the great exertions of the citizens, unexpectedly preserved, with but very trifling damage. Too much praise cannot be bestowed on the citizens generally for their exertions at this fire-never were greater intrepidity and boldness displayed on like occasion. Many valuable buildings were served by their exertions.
