Transcript
Slight shocks of earthquakes continue to be felt by the citizens of this country. From Georgia to New-York, and from the Atlantic to the unknown regions in the west, they are every where felt. Orleans has not escaped. The representations from different quarters leave it very difficult to assign the true place where the power is that produces the phenomena-the persons who give the statements, agree the time and the effect is nearly the same as felt here, and we see no difference more than the same man might be supposed liable to make it placed, in different situations, and the people in each part of the union, seem to be equally alarmed.
