Abstract
Report from the Louisville Courier of the amount of river traffic on Ohio river in Fall of 1811.
Transcript
The editor of the Courier, at Louisville, Ken. Has a list of a number of boats (and an estimate from actual inspection) of the value of produce and merchandize which passed the falls of the Ohio during the fifty days commencing on the 1st of Oct. 1811. From this statement it appears, that during that time, which was in the dullest seasons of the year, there passed 38 flat bottomed boats 8 barges, and 8 keels. their lading in all amounts to 222,3hd dollars.
