Felt report for the February 7, 1812 earthquake at Savannah, Georgia. Brief account
Transcript
Several smart shocks of an earthquake have been experienced in this place within the two last days. That which took place yesterday morning was more violent than any heretofore mentioned by us. The others, which took place between eight and eleven, lest night, were shorter both in duration and violence. We are indebted to two scientific gentlemen for the following communications, and will be thankful to others for their opinion on the subject:--
