Abstract
Report from St. Lucia in the Caribbean that a volcano erupted there on May 1, 1812 causing much damage. From a Baltimore newspaper.
Transcript
From Baltimore. We learn from St. Lucia, via St. Bartholomews, that on the first of May much damage was done at the former place by the breaking out of a VOLCANO. A small village about 4 miles from St. Lucia was nearly destroyed, with several plantations and many of the inhabitants.
