MORE OF THE EARTHQUAKE. RALEIGH, (N. C.) Dec. 20-On Monday morning several slight earthquakes were noticed in this city. The first, which was sensibly felt by all who were awake at the time, happened between 2 and 3 o'clock. Two others took place about 7 o'clock, but were not so distinctly felt, except by some of the members of the Assembly who were in the state-house, and were considerably alarmed by the shaking of the building. Clarksburg, Va. Dec. 16. A very severe shock of an Earthquake was sensibly felt in this place, about half past 2 o'clock this morning. Pittsburg, December 20. On Monday morning last, about 3 o’clock, the citizens of this town were greatly alarmed by the shock of an Earthquake; a number of persons from the shaking of their houses , were so much alarmed as to jump out of bed. About 7 o’clock the same morning , there was another shock though not as violent as the first.
