Abstract
Information from Louisville, Kentucky on the progress of the steam boat New Orleans . Describes the passage of the boat down the Falls of the Ohio and noted the boat had been at Louisville for six weeks. Noted that the boat took on 50 tons of cargo and passengers before heading south.

Advices from Louisville, of the 9th ult. state that the Ohio, Steam boat, the property of Messrs. Livingston, Fulton & co. which had been lying there for six weeks past, waiting for the rise of water, has passed down the Falls in fine style without receiving the least injury, and may now be considered out of danger. She took in some passengers and about fifty tons of cargo and has proceeded on her voyage to New Orleans. It is impossible to express the general satisfaction which the performance of this fine boat has given to the people on the Ohio and Mississippi.
