A variational property for a family of vector-valued functions


Let X be a Banach space and for each real t let G(t) and h(t) respectively denote a bounded linear operator on X and a vector in X. Let(Formula presented.) for x in X. A sufficient condition is given for the existence of a unique vector x which minimizes μ. An application to control theory is given.
