Students from the West Tennessee State Teachers College Latin Club performing Mary MacMillanâ€™s â€œPan or Pierrot". The image is titled â€œColumbine presents to Pierrot American girls in costumeâ€. The players were: Pierrot â€“ Conway Austin; Columbine â€“ Carra Lou McCaskill; Gypsy boy and girl â€“ Clyde Joyce, Ethel Lucas; Country boys and girls â€“ Clyde Gaines, Margaret Anding, Josephine Burnette, Lucy Edonson; Spanish boy and girl â€“ Bernice Rubenstein, Jewell Livingstone; Dutch boy and girl â€“ George Spurlock, Mary Draughon. The performance of three one-act plays, that also included John Drinkwater's â€œA Night of the Trojan Warâ€ and Mary MacMillanâ€™s â€œAt the Church Doorâ€, took place on May 12, 1926. The image formed part of a mounted group of eight photographs taken of the performers. See sc.ua.ph03.003_001.006
