Welcome to the UofM Graduate School newsletter Ascende Altius! The name of the UofM’s new strategic plan is Ascend. The word “ascend” means to climb, to move upward. It is fitting, then, that the Graduate School’s newsletter be named Ascende Altius! —a Latin phrase meaning “Climb higher!” With over 20 doctoral programs, 40 master’s programs, and a variety of graduate certificates, the University of Memphis graduate school can help you continue your educational journey and reach new heights.
