Brief felt report for the December 16, 1811 earthquake mentions that it was felt slightly at Fredricksburg, Virginia and notes that it was felt in all parts of the United States but in some places the shocks were violent especially in the south and west of the country.
Transcript
The Earthquake, slightly felt in this city on the morning of the 16th December, extended in a greater or less degree to all parts of the United States. In some places, the shocks were violent, particularly in the Southern and Western States.
