Abstract
Report that the February 7, 1812 earthquake was felt with equal severity to those that preceded it. The article notes that the quake was felt more strongly to the south.

No mail north of Richmond was received here on Friday morning. Earthquake.--Another earthquake was felt in this town on Friday morning between three and four o'clock. Those who experienced the shock, represent it as equal in severity to any of the preceding.-Where or on whom these dire calamities have fallen, has not yet been ascertained-But the farther south our information extends, the more violent have been these awful visitations. As it may be interesting to many of our readers to see and here something of these wonderful phenomena which convulse and agitate the very foundations of the earth, we have extracted the following article.
