Abstract
Account of a meteor passing over Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, sometime in February or March 1812. noted that it was noted to be a bright as a full moon and the same size. It passed from horizon to horizon in 3 to 4 seconds.
Transcript
A few nights ago, a large briliant ball passed over this place, [Pittsburg,] from north to south. Its apparent bulk, or angle of view, was equal to that of the moon at the full, and its light was about equal.-The time of its passing from one side of the horizon to the other was three or four seconds.-Mercury.
