Extract, dated New Madrid, April 24, 1812. "The Indians are becoming troublesome in this quarter. I am informed that two men were killed by the Creeks a few days since between this and the mouth of the Ohio. Mr. David Duncan, with whom you was acquainted, is said to have been one of those unfortunate persons. It would be well to communicate this intelligence to his brother at Maysville, for there can be but little doubt of the fact."
