Brief felt report for the January 23. 1812 earthquake at Alexandria, Virginia. Time of the earthquake was 9:29 am (local time). The duration of the quake was 20 seconds, the direction of the quake was from Southwest to Northeast . Source of the report was the Alexandria Herald

CHARLES-TOWN, January 31. The shock of another earthquake was felt yesterday morning, 29 minutes after 9 o'clock, as sensibly as on the late occurrence of it, with similar effects. Its continuance was about 20 seconds, and its direction from S. W. to N. E. Alex. Herald.
