Abstract
Long detailed report from the Cincinnati on damage caused in the Mississippi river and vicinity by the New Madrid earthquakes. It notes that some boats and lives were lost. New Madrid and Little Prairie were sunk and that whirlpools, eddies and a cataract had formed in the river. Good detailed report.
