Abstract
Notes other earthquakes in the world and asks if they were not the cause of the American quakes
Transcript
FOREIGN. An eruption took place at Mount Etna, on the 3d of Nov. last, which is described as being more violent and destructive to the Villages below the Crater, than any which had happened for several years. It is not probable that other eruptions may since have taken place, and that the Earthquakes experienced in this country, the first of which occurred on the 16th December, may be ascribed to this tremor cause?? A shock of an Earthquake was felt in England on the 31st of November. Extract of a letter to the Editor of the Freeman's Journal, dated Caracas, December 2, 1811.
