Brief report detailing that papers from the west are full of accounts of recent earthquakes. Speculation that there is destruction in Louisiana or Mexico. mentions January 24, 1812 quake being felt at Hartford, Connecticut.

Earthquakes.--The Western papers are much filled with accounts--some of them bordering on the marvelous-of recent Earthquakes. We have great fears of destructive tidings from the convulsions in Louisiana or Mexico. The Earthquake of 24th January, was felt as far E. as Hartford.
