Abstract
Felt report from and unknown Ohio newspaper detailing the effect of the December 16, 1811 earthquake in Ohio and Kentucky. Locations mentioned: Chillicothe, Ohio.
Transcript
The Earthquake has been felt at Chillicothe, Cincinnati and Frankfort Kentucky, with equal if not greater severity than here. In Frankfort, and near Cincinnati the tops of Chimnies fell. At Frankfort a noise was plainly perceived accompanying the phenomenon. It appears the commencement must have been from the South West. By accounts from the westward, it would appear that fears are yet entertained with respect to the hostility of the Indians. Troops were drafting in different places.--Ohio pa.
