Notice of an execution of a slave named Jack owned by Mr. Tibbets who was accused of setting a fire on December 16, 1811 at Louisville. Fire possibly earthquake related.
Transcript
CAPITAL PUNISHMENT. -Mr. Tibbatts' Jack on whom sentence of death was pronounced by the February County Court of Fayette, for burning his master's tallow chandler's shop, was executed on Wednesday last, amidst a large concourse of people.
