Transcript
Doctor Robertson, of Washington city, passed through Natchez on the 21st Sept. on his way to the interior of Mexico, where he goes in the capacity of minister or agent of the U.S. to negociate a treaty with the local authorities established there. He accompanied Col. Pike to New Mexico some years ago, and is said to be well calculated to accomplish the objects of his mission. If he succeeds, a most advantageous commerce is expected to be established between that country and ours. Our authority is the Natchez Chronicle. Ky. Gazette.
