Abstract
Brief report from New Orleans of the effect of the February 6, 1812 earthquake. “this city has experienced some slight concussions of earthquake, particularly on the 9th, whilst a number of person were at the theater and the ball, some of whom were much alarmed, tho’ the shock was not severe, nor had done any damage.”

Extract of a letter from Orleans dated Feb. 11, to a gentleman in this place. --"This city has experienced some slight concussions of earthquake, particularly on the 9th, whilst a number of persons were at the theatre and the ball, some of whom were much alarmed, tho' the shock was not severe, nor had done any damage."
