NEW-ORLEANS, Jan. 18. We are happy to find that the experiment made the Steam-Boat New-Orleans, demonstrates, in the most satisfactory manner, the capability of propelling her against the current of the Mississippi. We are informed by a gentleman who was on board, that the trip from here to the Turn and back, (10 leagues) was made in 5 hours and 2 minutes by his watch.
