SALEM, (MASS) JAN. 21. Sudden change--The weather since Thursday has been extremely cold, wind N. W. to N. the Thermometer standing generally near Zero, and at one time 11 degrees below Zero. A copious fall of snow during Sunday and Monday. In the night between Sunday and Monday the cold was more moderate, wind E. At half past 12, noon, yesterday, the Thermometer had risen to 33 degrees plus; at 2 P. M. it had sunk to 10 degrees! wind N. We understand that about 7 o'clock on Saturday evening, some persons in the eastern parts of this town experienced a slight shock of an Earthquake.
