Abstract
Report from the Savannah Republican of the effect of the February 7, 1812 earthquake. One was felt in the morning and “was more violent than any heretofore mentioned by us.” Others felt the same evening between 8 and 11 that were shorter and less violent.
Transcript
Several smart shocks of an EARTHQUAKE, have been experienced in this place, within the two last days. That which took place yesterday morning (Friday) was more violent than any heretofore mentioned by us. The others, which took place between eight and eleven o'clock, last night, were shorter in duration, and less violent.-Sav. Rep. Feb. 8.
