Felt report from Charleston, South Carolina for February 8 1812 for aftershocks of the February 7, 1812 earthquake. “Last night, at 43 minutes after 8. a slight shock of an Earthquake was again felt in this city. It continued for about 20 seconds; and at * minutes before 11, another shock took place, which was much severer than the first.-This lasted for about a minute; its direction appeared to be( from vibration of suspended articles from E. to W. “

EARTHQUAKES. Last night, at 43 minutes after 8, a slight shock of an Earthquake was again felt in this city. It continued for about 20 seconds; and at 8 minutes before 11, another shock took place, which was much severer than the first-This lasted for about a minute; its direction appeared to be (from the vibration of suspended articles) from E. to W.
