Transcript
Two Northern Mails have been received this week; but there is one still due, and of course no very late papers. We have been much disappointed in not receiving some very interesting intelligence from abroad, or seat of the general government. The first shocks of Earthquake felt here, have been also felt on the Atlantic coast from Georgia to the northern parts of the union: and we presume; over nearly the whole continent of North America. Several shocks, though not violent, have been felt in this city, within 8 or 10 days past.
