    Transcript

Newspapers received at this Office from each of the following places, contain accounts of the late Earthquake: Louisville, Lexington, Georgetown, Frankfort, and Washington in Kentucky:--Cillicothe, Circleville, Zanesville, Dayton and Lebanon, in this state. From these statements it appears that the Earthquake has been equally severe in all those places, as in this town, and accompanied by a similar state of the atmosphere-dark, cloudy, misty, drissling, and in some places a little rain. The accounts from Louisville and Frankford state that it was preceded by a rumbling noise like distant thunder. But this does not seem to have been noticed in any other of the accounts we have yet received. No material damage seems to have been sustained in any place yet heard from.
