Transcript
REGISTER OF EARTHQUKES. Since our last, several slight oscillations, perceptible by the aid of delicate plumb lines, and a few vibrations strong enough to attract general attention, have occurred. The first was between 10 and 11 o'clock, P. M. of the 20th, and the other about two hours after, or at 30 minutes past 12 o'clock. The former was of inconsiderable force; the latter was a solitary, short, but strong vibration. They were both from the south; from whence have been propagated nearly all the undulations that have reached this place. The third concussion was between 3 & 4 o'clock, A. M. of the 22d, it was slight, and had the same direction with the others.
