Abstract
Felt report for the February 7, 1812 earthquake, from Washington, Georgia.
Transcript
Washington (Geo.) February 8. On Tuesday last, 35 minutes after 4 o'clock P. M. another shock of an earthquake was felt in this place; and yesterday morning about half after three, another more severe and of a longer duration than any ever before felt here. The first as an undulatory motion, but the last was more of a jerking or heaving motion. We have not as yet heard of any damage except the falling of the tops of several chimneys in this town.
