Abstract
Report of a Caribbean volcano at St. Lucia on May 1st 1812
Transcript
Capt. Daniels, from St. Bartholomews, informs, that information was received from St. Lucia on the 6th of May, that on the 1st of May a Volcano broke out in the island of St. Lucia, did great damage among the inhabitants. A small village at the distance of about 4 or five leagues from the place where the Volcano broke out was mostly destroyed, and likewise several plantations. A great many of the inhabitants became the victims of this dreadful event.
