Transcript
On Thursday last, at 9 o'clock, another violent shock of an Earthquake was felt in this place. The oscillation was supposed by many to have been greater than on any former occasion. Those which were so sensibly experienced by us during the last month, have been noticed by all the news papers we have received; and were felt about the same time and in a similar manner, in Virginia, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Kentucky and Tennessee, and probably over the whole continent. In Baltimore the concussion was so great as to throw down several chimneys and part of the gable ends of two brick-houses.
