Abstract
Brief notice that the John C. Edwards account is going to be published. It notes that the account if true would explain the earthquakes that were felt at Augusta. Notes that if might not be true after all.
Transcript
AN account of a VOLCANO having bursted out in the Mountains in Buncombe County, N. C. in to-day's paper. This would, if, true, account at once for the many shocks of Earthquakes lately experienced-But the correctness of the latter is very much doubted-being contradicted by several persons who have passed through that country several days since the date of the letter.
