Transcript
The Earthquake noticed in our last, has been felt in various parts of the country. The papers from Richmond, Edenton, Wilmington, Charleston and Savannah, mention the phenomenon.-In Charleston, six distinct shocks were felt: the first and most violent about 3 o'clock, and one minute & a half in duration. It was very severe and alarming; indeed, the vibration was so great as to set some of the church bells to ringing-the pendulums of the clocks stopped, and the picture glasses in many houses were broken.
