Abstract
Report on the comet of 1811's visibility.
Transcript
The Comet continues visible. It has passed the equator, (not the ecliptic as mentioned in the Centinel) and was on Wednesday evening last in about 1 1-2 degrees of south declination, and in 31 degrees of Right Ascension. It is easily perceived by the naked eye, a little after six o'clock in the evening, bearing about W. by S. and 10 or 12 degrees above the horizon. Its distance from the earth is about 290 millions of miles--Salem Gazette.
