Abstract
Report of a fast day observed at Charleston, South Carolina due to the earthquakes felt there. Another was observed at Savannah, Georgia. The dates observed February 12 and 21.
Transcript
Fast Days.--Friday, the 21st of February, was observed at Charletion, as a day of humilitation, fasting and prayer.-Wednesday the 12th of February, was observed in Savannah for the same purpose. These fast days appear to have been appointed on account of the late Earthquakes. Governor Gerry has issued his Proclamation for a Fast Day, which is to be on Thursday the Ninth of April next.
