Felt report for the December 16, 1811 earthquake. Notes that it was felt at Alexandria, Virginia, Norfolk, Virginia, Charleston, South Carolina, Georgetown, South Carolina, Richmond, Virginia, Raleigh, North Carolina, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. And “the towns generally in that quarter.”

Several shocks of an earthquake were felt on the 16th ult. at Alexandria, Norfolk, Charleston, Georgetown, Richmond, Raleigh, Philadelphia, and the towns generally in that quarter.
