Transcript
EARTHQUAKE AT WASHINGTON. It appears that the shock and alarm at the seat of government, on Thursday last, did not proceed from any congressional caucus on the Presidential nomination, as stated in the federal papers, but from two shocks of an earthquake which took place in that city at 5 and 9 o'clock in the morning of that day. Columbian.
