Transcript
On Thursday morning last about five minutes after 4 o'clock a shock of an Earthquake was felt in this place-many houses were considerably agitated, and great fears were apprehended by some that their chimnies were injured. It continued about half a minute. On Friday night about ten minutes after 11 o'clock another shock was felt but not so violent. It is somewhat remarkable that most persons who felt the shock of the first were not affected with that peculiar giddiness and concomitant sickness which all the other shocks here have produced.
