Description
This weapon is a compound tool, wherein the worked stone itself is physically combined with other materials, such as wood and leather, to create a more complex object. Lithic weapons could be manufactured using both the ground-stone and flaked-stone techniques. For example, axes, like this one, were often made by attaching a ground-stone axe head to a wooden handle.
