Description

A compound vessel consisting of a plain bottle resting in the mouth of a jar. The jar has a notched rim and four perforated handles. The master ceramicist has captured the form of both the bottle and the jar, perhaps expressing how a bottle might be used as a covering for a jar. The compound “bottle” would date to the fifteenth century.
