Abstract

The American Indian Heritage was written by Emmy Award winner John Kauffman (1947-90), a member of the Nez Perce Tribe. One of Kauffman’s many theatrical enterprises to tell the stories of Native Americans from a Native perspective, this play discusses various creation stories from North America and the impact that these stories have had on Native American cultures.
