Abstract
This study investigates the effects of style of faulting on earthquake ground motion in New Madrid seismic zone (NMSZ). I undertake a detailed analysis of local waveform data using a multistage processing method to produce empirical attenuation relations for frequencies between 1 and 16 Hz. The dataset consists of 854 local events of magnitude 1.6
