Abstract

All instruments are notated at sounding pitch, though standard octave transpositions apply to glockenspiel anddouble bass.The text of this composition is adapted from Genesis 22 of the King James Version of the bible. It explores the biblical relationships between God and Abraham and Abraham and his son Isaac. The piece is in six movements.
