Abstract
Experiments were conducted to test observer identification of characters under a range of conditions. Characters were tested stationary and moving at varied speed, with white noise added at multiple temporal frequencies and intensities. The obtained performance is used to evaluate current noise models used with the TTP metric. A method for incorporating target motion into one of the noise models is suggested.
