Global Health Informatics

Abstract

This chapter describes a global view of the growth, proliferation, and application of health informatics. It provides an overview of where we have been, the explosion of digital health, and a vision of where we may be headed. There is no crystal ball for a concrete pathway in determining where health informatics will travel, but inferences and predications can be articulated to provide a sense of what lies ahead..
