Annual Review, 1993-1997: Work Attitudes and Outcomes

Abstract

This article reviews the literature on work attitudes and outcomes for the years 1993-1997. Models of job satisfaction, organizational commitment, turnover intentions, and turnover behaviors were used to develop an organizational structure for the literature. Key constructs pertaining to individual and work environment characteristics, job satisfaction, organizational commitment, and turnover intentions were reviewed and summarized. General conclusions and recommendations for future work are presented in the final section. © 1998 Academic Press.
