Biological treatment of simulated landfill leachate containing chlordane.
Abstract
Rotating biological contactors with sludge recycle were examined in this research for the treatment of a synthetic leachate containing up to 5.0 mg/l of chlordane. Chlordane removal efficiencies of 75 to 96 percent were achieved, with effluent chlordane concentrations in the 0.1 to 0.2 mg/l range. -from Authors
