TENSILE TESTING OF INDIVIDUAL BOVINE TRABECULAE.
Abstract
A device was designed and constructed to perform tensile tests on specimens of individual bovine trabeculae with free lengths of 0. 06 inch. Stress-strain data are collected for thirty-eight specimens, from which Young's modulus was calculated. Results yielded an average value of 1. 1 multiplied by 10**5 psi.
