Instrumentation and dynamic testing of single piles in loess soil

Abstract

A field test procedure was developed and pluck tests were performed on full scale square pre-stressed piles driven in loess in and around the city of Memphis. Careful consideration was given to the identification of the instrumentation, hardware, and software for data acquisition.
